As most of you out there may be aware, the Australian government wants to censor our Internet. Not only will it filter out websites that the government claim are “harmful to children”, but it will also slow down our Internet speeds by an average of 30%, something which we can’t afford because we already have primitive speeds here in Australia.

Take action. Stand up for your right to have freedom of information. We’re not just talking porn here. We’re talking topics such as euthanasia and anorexia. Want to know how you can help?

There is one thing I will never understand… And that is why guys try to pick up girls or get a wank from places like Xbox Live. Sure chatrooms etc. is one thing, but why in-game? Today for example, Elite-Tek and I were playing some Dead or Alive 4 and some guy joined our lobby and started to ask me for pics. When I declined he kept persisting saying it wouldn’t hurt me to do it. Now I really don’t understand the reasoning behind this! I’m there to game you cunts, not expose myself over a console. It’s not the first time either. I’ve been asked for “dirty voice chats” (as they put it) and pics before… I’m not a goddam attention whore, if I’m in a game lobby or actually in-game (and this goes for PC games too, like CS), I simply want to game, not pick up!

Get a life, get out of your mum’s basement and into the real world and try to find someone with a troll/gnome fetish, because that will probably be the only way you’re going to get laid.

By the way, eGames last weekend was wicked! I picked up a plush talking Yoda, and R2D2 USB Hub, a Princess Peach Zippo-style lighter (wasn’t a real Zippo) and an epic DVD, He-Man and She-Ra A Christmas Special. Also some freebies like lanyards and pens plus an Intel t-shirt for getting the most kills on the terrorist team on a 5v5 10 round CSS comp. Sweet

So I have been finding more and more lately that I have been craving having a good game. Not like owning a game that is good, but sitting down and having good gaming sessions. I have been neglecting this side of my life a lot in the past few months because I have simply been too tired when I come home from work and will usually fall asleep/pass out before I have to chance to fire up a game on the PC or switch on my 360. But the past week or two have got me feeling renewed about it all… I don’t know why I’m choosing to game rather than sleep again, but it’s gone that way. Of course I still usually get my 7-8hours sleep a night, I’m not stupid enought o do that, but instead of having a nap when I get home, I’ve found I’ve been picking up my 360 controller instead of putting on my PJs.

This could have something to do with the fact I have picked up a couple of games I really love and have been enjoying. The first is an Xbox Live Arcade download, Puzzle Fighter HD. It’s a puzzle game using gems with Capcom characters. The other is Orange Box (yes on 360, not PC as most people claim I should have gotten it on, but hey, I don’t have the specs!). I’m particularly fond of Portal… Is a shitload of fun and is such a simple yet complex game. Also started to play a bit of Half-Life 2 on OB. Today I also picked up Guitar Hero II for the first time in a while and returned to my quest of trying to unlock all the achievements that I can… Got 2 today, finished the Easy Tour (I think I skipped straight to Medium when I first got it) and 5 starred all the songs on Easy… Now I’m working on going back through the Medium Tour and 5 starring all the songs on there… Then I will finally make myself get the hang of playing on Hard and do the same! Also played a little Counter-Strike: Source this week… didn’t do that bad, got some kills in, but felt very rusty because I haven’t played it in months!

I also finally hit 1000 Gamerpoints this week… A bit sad, I know, considering I got the Xbox 360 a year ago, but I finally made it, and I’m hoping that my dedication doesn’t dwindle again because I’m hoping the first 1000 is the hardest and after that the points just keep coming… Maybe… Or not!

Karaoke this past Friday was good! Had work people come down again, which was awesome, and for the first time in ages the whole karaoke “family” was there! Was great to see everyone again I can’t be bothered posting pics this week, but you all know to find them on my Flickr.

Awesome night of karaoke at Strike this Friday gone! Not only was it Halloween with costumes a-plenty, but we have now welcome Alison into the fold since she turned 18 last Wednesday (Happy Birthday Alison!). Lot’s of drinking, and lots of me punching people with my big foam Chun-Li wristbands. Huzzah! Now for the best part, pics:
