So this travel blog isn’t as good as when I was in Toronto, but I guess it all comes down to not having my own laptop. Yes I’ve been using Elite-Tek’s, but still… Anyway, the trip is going great! The day after we went to Leiden, we went to Luuksk’s place. I have no clue which town he lives in, but it was a really nice place. Sort of small with old looking buildings… The word cute comes to mind lol. We ended up staying the night there, just chilling out. Was great to meet another forum member irl, and we had many lols at his place

Yesterday we made the train trip up to Amsterdam. What a city! We saw the Red Light District, which wasn’t as big an area as I expected… But still it’s surreal to just walk past a window with a girl standing there in her underwear… And some of them are old skanky looking women that make me wonder if they get any business at all D:  Also there were sex shops and live sex shows all around with guys out front announcing what was going on inside… One guy summed it up when he said “… Quality sleaze and filth!” Unfortunately I didn’t get to see a sex show We also walked around to find Anne Frank House, but when we got there, the line was going around the block! It’s obviously a very popular tourist attraction, so we took photos out the front and skipped seeing the inside. Yes, I would have liked to see it, but there was no way I was going to wait that long. We chilled out in a pub for a while with some beers, walked around and just saw some of the sights, checked out the inside of a couple of coffeeshops (but we didn’t smoke in them) before stopping at the Sexmuseum on the way back to the train station. Yes, it was my decision to go in there, I wanted to do at least one seedy thing while I was in Amsterdam! But it’s a really pretty city, the architecture is amazing in some of the buildings, the canals are pretty cool and even though there aren’t really a lot of major tourist attractions, it was great just to walk around and soak in the atmosphere.
Today Skrie drove us around to see some more of the Pure Pwnage sites. We stopped at the sign from the show where the guys stood and were trying to pronounce the names, saw the street where Skrie battled Jeremy and then went to Skrie’s parents house to check out the sheep Unfortunately Skrie’s parents weren’t home, so we didn’t get to meet them, but hey, I’m happy I got to lol at the sheep!

So there’s only a few days left on our trip and it does make me a little sad that time seems to be flying by so quickly… But at the same time, it’s less than a week now until the Melbourne Pure Pwnage premiere! So much pwnage is such a small amount of time Oh and photos from this trip will be uploaded to my Flickr when I get back to Australia… There’s some good ones that willmake you laugh

Howdy from The Netherlands!

Me and Elite-Tek got in last night after a massive flight from Melbourne -> Hong Kong -> London -> Amsterdam. My mobile phone bloody went missing somewhere between Melbourne and Hong Kong. I know I put it in my pocket when I got on the plane, so what I reckon happened is it fell out my pocket onto the seat, because it wasn’t there when we walked into HK airport. I asked the flight attendant and she told me to email HK lost and found. I did, and am still waiting for a reply. I did buy a cheap arse vodafone pre-paid phone today for 24.95 euro, so I’m living off that. The bad thing is I don’t have any phone numbers except those I know off by heart >.< Also I don’t have my laptop because the fags @ Access Technology had some problem and couldn’t fix it in time (Inverter needs to be replaced), even though they knew I was going overseas. Thank goodness Elite-Tek has one

So yeah I’m chilling here in Skrie’s loungeroom. Today we chilled out for a few hours, gave Skrie and Virus52 their first even Vegemite sandwiches, watched the first ep of Dave’s Pro At Cooking, watch Skrie make a shop from it and then we drove to Leiden and walked around.  Saw the canals, the awesome architecture, took some awesome shots from a fort and the inside of a church that was being renovated, went and had some ‘Good Food’ (if you watch PP you will get that one!) and last but not least, Skrie stopped by a coffeeshop to pick up some goods for tonight

Atm we’re just hanging out watching TV and just finished our dinner of Chinese food… Pretty damn good food, too! More to come later… I’m still pretty tired and jet-lagged!

I have to admit, right now I’m pretty pissed off with VicRoads. Not only did I pay over $29 just to make an appointment to go for my Learner Permit, they just charged me over $10 to change the appointment! (I can’t remember how many cents is in there…) They have already gotten over $40 of my money and I haven’t even sat down for the test yet. Complete bullshit. In Adelaide, when I was 16 and went for my L’s, I paid $21 for the test, $21 for my card. Didn’t even have to make an appointment. But no, I’d made my appointment a month in advance, my roster got changed and I was charged to change my test time even though it was totally out of my control. Plus when I go in on the day I have to pay even more to do the test and more for my card. Seriously, is the purpose of VicRoads to suck you dry to scare you from failing?

Well let’s hope I pass when I go for my L’s on Monday October 15 so I don’t have to fork over more money… Or at least that my roster doesn’t change again.
