So it’s taken me over a week to post this, but meh, who cares? I’ve been busy dammit! lol! Thanks to everyone that helped celebrate my birthday! It was a non-stop weekend of fun, which included going to dinner @ Shine then drinking at home on Friday night, lunch @ Mocha Joes and then heading to Crown/Galactic Circus then to BLVD on Saturday, and thanks to my mum for taking the revellers out to town on Sunday while I stayed home and cleaned the house FTP is being a slight bitch, so pictures can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/melonqueen/

With less than a week to go until my birthday, I have a stomach bug! I have to take tomorrow off work, and have been put on antibiotics. Luckily you only need to take one dose and then that’s it. Doctor said it should be all good for me to drink by Friday night when Amy, Tubby and I start to party. But wait there’s more suck… Mum’s gone interstate so I can’t get to the chemist. Fuck! Will have to taxi it down to the mall tomorrow or something. This day just keeps getting better

Upgraded my Internet 1.5mb with 20gb downloads (40gb in off-peak times)… Yay! Still not as fast as I would have liked, but hey very happy <3

So I went up to Brisbane on the weekend for the Brisbane Pure Pwnage fan meet

I left Melbourne on Friday night after spending $90 or so to get to the airport in a taxi (guh!). Had dinner with mum @ the airport because she just got in from Sydney… Then after a 20min delay, finally flew out! Wasn’t until around midnight when I arrived at Mkoll’s house. We watched Pure Pwnage ep13, which had just come out that day, then talked and stuff til about 2:30am.

Got up around 9am on Saturday before Mkoll, his friend Kage and I headed to Central Station to meet up with the others. Of the 20 or so that said they would come, out final group ended up consisting of me, Mkoll, Kage, Elite-Tek, SenorPeligro, Rossco and RavenXavier. After introductions and stuff, we headed off to the Queen St mall where we bought juice in the Myer Centre (watermelon for me!) and then headed to Adelaide St to the CyberRoom LAN cafe. I gotta say, CyberRoom is probably the best LAN cafe I have ever been to! We played CS:S to start with, and then (although I can’t remember in any particular order) some Supreme Commander, COD2 and DoTA. During this time we headed back to the Myer Centre for lunch, where we also stocked up on booze

After leaving CyberRoom, we went to a small arcade near the cinema in the Myer Centre, but we didn’t stay there too long. I played some Tekken… Got beat by Mkoll!! Rossco and RavenXavier left at this time and the rest of us then walked down to SouthBank where we were going to drink, but on discovery of the Buddha’s Birthday festival, we decided to head back to Mkoll’s house to drink. Oh what fun! Hehehe… Mkoll was the first to go… Had to get carried to bed He was also the first to chunder, followed by about 3 litres of vomit from SenorPeligro! Elite-Tek and I held our own, though I hadn’t had much to drink. Poor Elite-Tek kept getting paid out for drinking Pulses, but hey, I say let the guy drink what he wants! Elite-Tek and SenorPeligro ended up staying the night at Mkoll’s house too.

On Sunday we sat around while the guys got over their hangovers, then we headed to the cinema. Man that was a horrible walk, the sun got to me a bit so I felt a bit sick towards the end (ask the guys, I almost threw up! lol!). We were going to see Spiderman 3, but when we got there, the next three sessions were booked out! So we saw Curse of the Golden Flower instead. Personally, I loved it, but since seeing Raise The Red Lantern in year 12, I have become quite a fan of Zhang Yimou’s filming style. His use of colour is just amazing. After the movie Mkoll and I said farewell to Elite-Tek and SenorPeligro and headed back to his house where we had a very yummy dinner cooked by his housemate Brendan. It was a pretty chilled night, with me hanging on my laptop and Mkoll on his PC. Pretty much the same thing the next day, and then I headed home.
