So I went back to Adelaide this weekend… Again! I won’t go back for a while, because I don’t feel I will be as settled in Melbourne if I keep going back and forth so much. The main reason why I went back this time was for my cousin Brandon’s 4th birthday. I can’t believe that he’s growing up so quickly!

So the weekend got off to a little cruddy start… We were meant to arrive in Adelaide at 8:50, but ended up landing at 10:10pm. Our flight had been delayed 1hr and 20mins due to crappy weather in Melbourne. But we finally got there and I went out as soon as I got to my aunt and uncles place to the Seaton Hotel for a couple of drinks with my best friend Amy. Was cool to have a good girly night with her I don’t think we’ve had a night to ourselves for a long time (no offence to the men that have been in our lives, but girls need girl time! ).

The next morning I get woken up a few hours earlier than what I wanted to by Brandon’s face 5cm away from mine saying ‘MORNING COLE!!!” And then having him shove the TV remote down the front of my PJ top telling me to turn the TV on for him (I was sleeping on the couch in the lounge). But I told him to go wake up my mum and I managed to get a couple of hours sleep extra. Then we set off to West Lakes where I saw people from Coles Yay! Then walked around browsing at shops, ran into mum and Brandon in the toy department in David Jones Figures!

That afternoon the family all came round and we celebrated Brandon’s birthday (which had been on the Wednesday). I decorated one of the cakes to look like a spider web with spiders on it Laura decorated one with just strawberries and cream. I gave Brandon a Buzz Lightyear DVD he had been wanting He got some other cool presents, including totem tennis which everyone ended up playing with and almost breaking!

That night we went out partying! By we I mean me, Pred, Amy, Matt, Peter and Mark (who joined us later on). Ran into a couple of random people from the past as well, which was really cool, but I guess you can expect that being at a place like Mansions. Great night, lot’s of drinking, dancing… Ended up having a serious talk with Pred, but that talk made me realise that I do love him a lot… <3 Didn't get home til very late! We stayed at Mansions from open til close, then met up with Ben and some of his mates at Hungry Jacks for food :D I think HJ's is starting to become a good tradition for the end of our nights lol.

On Sunday, I stopped by my brother’s to do some work on his Zen Cart store… turns out he’d been telling me it was all HTML and when I got there it was PHP which I know nothing about… But I had a play around with it still Then came home… Yay… lol

Had a great day today hanging with some of the PP community members… Great to do something social here in Melbourne that didn’t involve mum. Yes, I still very much <3 my mum, but I do need to get out more and discover the city on my own Just want to say a big thanks to everyone for a fucking fantastic day and I hope we get to do it again very soon

Today my friends is a wonderful day! I have thrown away the shackles of 56k dial-up and now have a 512k connection… Still not quite ADSL2+… But very happy for now

Also managed to get an extension with my mobile phone bill, so that’s all good

Had a great weekend back in Adelaide… Great to see Pred again <3, Amy, Sean, Sam, Shaun, the West Lakes crew, other random mates, My wonderful family (thanks to Aunty Sav and Uncle John for having me in their home again <3 and to Dad for the wonderful dinner on Sunday night <3), and anyone else I can't think of...

If I didn't get to see you this time round, well sucks to be you then! Just kidding! But keep in contact about when I'll next be in Adelaide for more social visits (will be there in about 3 weeks, but that's mostly for Brandon's birthday so will be spending time with family majority of the trip)... Back to work tomorrow, then 4 day weekend! Yay!
